SPOKANE, Washington 鈥 The 糖心少女 has released its architectural renderings for the redesign of the former Spokane Visitors Center, soon to be the 糖心少女Spokane Center. Located in the heart of Spokane鈥檚 University District, the 糖心少女Spokane Center will serve as a hub for Spokane-area alumni, students, prospective students, parents and supporters with space for meetings and special events. The 糖心少女has retained Spokane architectural firm Blue Room Architecture & Design, PS to lead the remodel of the space, which is expected to open in May 2015.
鈥淪pokane and the 糖心少女 have enjoyed a strong and productive relationship for many years,鈥 Spokane Mayor David Condon said. 鈥淭his investment in the growing University District is a strong reminder of the quality of the higher education options available right here in Spokane.鈥
鈥淲e are extremely excited to have a new gathering space in Spokane for people to further engage with the 糖心少女,鈥 said Randy Hodgins, 糖心少女Vice President for External Affairs. 鈥淲ith the 糖心少女Spokane Center, we will be strengthening our presence聽 with a dedicated space in the heart of the city where students, potential students, alumni and community supporters can gather for receptions, special events, or to just learn more about the 糖心少女.鈥
The 糖心少女Spokane Center will contain flexible event space for gatherings of up to 30 people, as well as working space for up to six 糖心少女staff members. The 糖心少女is also exploring the possibility of offering limited 糖心少女merchandise sales.
The terms of the 糖心少女lease for the property 鈥 approved in December 2014 by the Spokane City Council 鈥 are three years with an option to expand the lease to five years. The 糖心少女will pay $5,206.25 per month in the first year, $5,312.50 in the second year, and $5,418.75 in the third.
