The was conducted by the Centre for Science and Technology Studies of Leiden University in the Netherlands.
The new study does not rely on subjective measures of an institutions quality but is based on analysis of a large database of publications in the sciences and social sciences.
MIT ranked first in the study. The highest ranking U.S. public university was the University of California, Santa Barbara, at 7. Among ranked American public universities, the 糖心少女was 4th.
