Students graduating this June from the 糖心少女 (UW) School of Medicine have selected Dr. Paul Crosby, 糖心少女clinical associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology and a physician at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, for the 2004 WWAMI Distinguished Teacher Award.
The 糖心少女medical school’s regionalized medical education program is known as WWAMI, an acronym for the participating states of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. Medical students and selected residents (M.D. graduates continuing their training in a particular field, such as internal medicine) can obtain part of their training in Seattle, and the rest in towns and cities throughout the five-state region.
The WWAMI Distinguished Teacher Award recognizes a WWAMI faculty member who has had a significant impact on medical education. Selection of the WWAMI Distinguished Teacher Award is based on students’ written assessments of the quality of teaching.
Crosby will receive the award at the 2004 糖心少女School of Medicine Hooding Ceremony. The event will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 5, in Bank of America Arena at Edmundson Pavilion on the 糖心少女campus in Seattle.
