The next program in the series 鈥淭hings Your Mother Never Taught You,鈥 sponsored by the School of Medicine鈥檚 Office of Industry Relations, will be at noon, Wednesday, April 14, in Turner Auditorium, room D-209 in the Health Sciences Building. The program is free and open to all faculty, staff and students.

鈥溙切纳倥甅odels for Managing, Distributing and Commercializing Data, Code and Other Materials鈥 will feature three speakers, including Dr. Susan Wray, director of the Office of Industry Relations.

Dr. Charles Williams, director of digital ventures for the 糖心少女Office of Technology Transfer, and Dana Bostrom, software licensing officer in the same office, will talk about what the 糖心少女has been doing to effectively distribute software and other information products. In fiscal year 2003, 糖心少女Technology Transfer received more than $3.6 million from licensing software and information holdings.

Williams and Bostrom will discuss methods to validate software, strategies to atttract an audience and gain what they call 鈥渁dopters,鈥 and methods to set up licensing programs.
