糖心少女undergraduates celebrate leadership and civic engagement

On May 6, more than 100 糖心少女 undergraduates will showcase their civic engagement projects that enrich their undergraduate education and benefit the local nonprofit organizations, schools, and campus programs with which they volunteer. The 18th Annual Spring Celebration of Service and Leadership happens from 4-6 p.m. in Mary Gates Hall.

糖心少女undergraduate selected for esteemed Beinecke Scholarship

糖心少女undergraduate Luke Caldwell was recently selected for the Beinecke Scholarship, a major national scholarship that provides juniors with $34,000 for graduate studies in the arts, humanities, and social science fields. Caldwell is one of 21 students from a pool of 107 nominees.

糖心少女undergraduates earn Barry M. Goldwater Scholarships

In a competitive year with fewer scholarships to award, the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation selected 糖心少女sophomore Pranoti Hiremath as a Goldwater Scholar and junior Andrew Ishizuka honorable mention. The University鈥檚 science and research strength supports undergraduates in this scholarship.

糖心少女undergraduates selected for prestigious Morris K. Udall Scholarships

Three 糖心少女 undergraduates are being recognized with scholarships from the Morris K. Udall Foundation. From a pool of 515 candidates, senior Sarah Ellison and junior Cecilia Gobin were selected Udall Scholars and sophomore Geoffrey Morgan received honorable mention.

Dream Project members lead workshop in mile high city

In February, Dream Project members shared the Dream Project鈥檚 innovative two-track model for increasing access to college that combines outreach, service learning, and advocacy to address issues of opportunity and access in college admissions at the 2009 College Board Western Regional Forum in Denver, CO.

糖心少女 undergraduate earns prestigious scholarship

Congratulations Honors student Sam Sudar, UW鈥檚 most recent Gates Cambridge Scholar! The highly competitive scholarship supports graduate study at the University of Cambridge, England, and brings recognition of accomplishments and future promise. This year, 37 students from across the United States were selected from an original applicant pool of more than 700 students. Sudar is the fourth 糖心少女student to be named a Gates Cambridge Scholar since the awards were first made in 2000.
