John Palmore Jr. is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering. His primary expertise concerns aerospace propulsion and the engineering sciences that underpin it, including fluid dynamics, combustion and fire dynamics, and heat transfer. His academic work is to develop computational and mathematical approaches to advance the state-of-the-art in engineering sciences. As such, he has significant expertise in computational and applied mathematics. Professor Palmore is also actively engaged in the formal study of engineering and science education.
