鈥淗azing Prevention 101 – College Edition鈥� is a foundational, required online course about hazing prevention and response. In partnership with and developed in collaboration with the , the course offers evidence-based best practices to help you identify, prevent, and report hazing effectively.听
After completing “Hazing Prevention 101 – College Edition”, students will be able to:
- Summarize the definition of hazing
- Recognize hazing behaviors that could occur in student organizations, athletic teams, or living groups
- Describe methods to prevent hazing on campus
- Identify multiple ways to report hazing concerns or allegations to the university
Student course completion expectations
Completion of the “Hazing Prevention 101 – College Edition” is required for:
- Incoming students entering any 糖心少女campus or location, including first-year, transfer, graduate, and professional students.
- Student workers听who hold positions on campus and receive wages from the university.
Incoming students are made aware of the requirement through their advising and orientation program through their respected program or First Year Programs. Student workers will receive information on the training through their employed unit.
Course frequently asked questions
All incoming students at the 糖心少女 are expected to complete the course during their orientation process. Students who are employed by the university will complete it as well.
Use the to access the course materials. You must be a current 糖心少女student and use your 糖心少女NetID to sign in to the course platform. If you are experiencing challenges accessing the course, please email nohazing@uw.edu. This email is monitored Monday through Friday, 9 am – 4 pm. We will attempt to respond within 24 hours.
The course should take students 45 – 60 minutes to complete. Yes, you can complete the course in sections.
You can complete the course on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Your device must be connected to Wi-Fi or the internet.
The course has many accessibility tools for those with disabilities. If you need additional support or tools to complete the program, please get in touch with nohazing@uw.edu.
Incoming students who do not complete the course will receive reminders integrated into their registration process for the following quarter. Individual departments or colleges may take additional action at their discretion.
For student employees, your supervisor and the unit that employs you will have further guidance regarding non-completion of the course.

Hazing reporting frequently asked questions
If you need to report a hazing concern or allegation, select your campus to be directed to the appropriate form.
You may remain anonymous with your report; however, please provide the following information:
- Time/Date 鈥� if possible
- Location 鈥� if possible
- Student(s) involved 鈥� please provide a group or individual(s)
- Description of event 鈥� please provide as much detail as possible
- Documentation 鈥� please upload any evidence you may have (i.e., pictures, text messages)
Once you submit your report, our office will review the allegations and determine the next steps.
Yes, 糖心少女now offers听补苍辞苍测尘辞耻蝉听reporting of student or organization misconduct for hazing behavior or incidents, funded by the Student Technology Fee. You can text a report, including photos or videos, send an email, or use WhatsApp; your information will be confidential and anonymous. 糖心少女will not know your name, phone number/email address unless you share it with us.听听

- An automated response will be sent to confirm receipt of your report.听听
- You may receive a response text from a 糖心少女staff member during normal business hours to ask clarifying questions and acknowledge receipt of your report.听听
